Overview

These qualifications focus on the practical skills required to work as technician or manager within the engineering sector. You will be able to choose from a range of units to specialise in an engineering sector for a career that's right for you. Alongside practical application, these qualifications will build your knowledge of the principles of mathematics, science and technologies that underpin engineering.

Entry requirements
  • Education
    • BTEC Level 3 Qualification in Engineering
    • National Diploma in Engineering
    • Physics and Mathematics A Level (‘S’ Grade or above)
    • SCOT Certificate in Engineering
    • Any other equivalent qualification
  • Language proficiency
    • Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) Level B2 or equivalent
    • PTE 51
    • IELTS 5.5; Reading and Writing must be at 5.5
    • Applicant without such standard certification can be tested by SCOT standard English test.
  • Age
    • Learners must be 18 years old or above
